Monopoly Go: FAQ Guide
With Monopoly GO! being so popular, there is a lot of misinformation floating around. Let us dispel some of it for you.

Monopoly Go! has become a bit of a sensation. However, over time, many aspects and elements have come and gone. Glitches that once helped people optimize dice rolls have been patched, yet there are still people instructing others on how to use them online. Basically, it is a giant minefield of misinformation. So, we are here to clear things up.

This guide will clear the air once and for all. We'll give you straight answers to all these questions and let you know exactly what is up with everything from the state of the Airplane Mode Glitch to giving you the answers you are looking for about those Dice Links.

Updated March 19th, 2024 by James Kennedy: We've updated this FAQ with a handful of new sections. The biggest reason, however, is because we were wrong about the airplane glitch (which we thought had been patched out of the game). So, we have corrected that bit of misinformation and have now included a full guide on the trick.

How To Use The Airplane Mode Glitch To Get More Dice Rolls?
The Airplane Mode Glitch is a way to roll your dice, and then, if the roll wasn't what you were hoping for, you can take it all back. This allows people to reduce the risks considerably when embracing those giant modifiers. Unfortunately, it is a HUGE pain in the butt.

Here is a the step-by-step on how to perform this notorious glitch...

For starters, enter into the game as you normally would. Roll the dice once or twice (otherwise, when you switch to airplane mode the game will tell you it has lost connection).
Now, once you are ready, turn on Airplane Mode and roll the dice with the multiplier stacked up as high as possible. You will want to save this for extremely high-stake rolls! If you like your roll, simply turn off Airplane mode and play the game normally.
If you didn't like the rolls you got, close the app, and delete Monopoly Go. No, that is not a joke.
Finally, redownload Monopoly Go and select your account on startup. Your dice will be back to where they were before turned airplane mode on.

Is Monopoly Go Pay To Win?
On the topic of Monopoly Go!'s monetization, we have good news and bad news. On the plus side, the fairly shallow competitive element means that you aren't really competing with each other, so players who are paying the big bucks to get extra rolls aren't going to impede your fun to a notable degree. That being said, if you are trying to play Monopoly Go! without paying anything, you are going to end up playing in pretty short bursts.

Can I Play Monopoly Go! With Friends?
You can sort of play Monopoly Go! with your friends, but it isn't the traditional Monopoly experience. You can't take turns rolling while stomping around a map and grabbing properties. Instead, you can link your account to a friend's account and then, when you attack other players, your friends will be among your targets. It isn't real competitive play, but it is fun to grief the people you know and love.

What Are Peg-E Tokens?
Peg-E tokens are given during a specific Peg-E event. You can use them to play a pachinko-style game. There is no real skill involved in this game; it is completely randomized where the tokens will fall.

You may see people talking about "Peg-E tokens", and instructing players on how to use them to win additional prizes. However, the event that used Peg-E Tokens is not permanent. It comes and goes. If you log on to the game, and the Peg-E event isn't active, then you'll simply have to wait for the next go-around. There are a number of events like this and they are always cycling in and out.

What Are Pickaxes?
When a "Treasures" event is on, you will be able to acquire pickaxes by completing challenges, and rolling dice. These events come and go, and are always a limited-time thing. The event itself is one of the more skill-based minigames present in the game. Using your pickaxes smartly by taking the size of the artifacts you are looking to dig up into consideration is the key to success.

Gaining Dice Rolls By Connecting To Friends
Some sites seem to refer to connecting to friends as "creating dice links". The process here is relatively simple...

Select the "friends" tab in the bottom-right corner of the screen.
Press the "Invite Friends" button at the bottom of the screen.
Either select a friend using the blue Facebook invite button, or you can create an invitation link by pressing the orange invite button.
Once the friend you invited accepts, you will be able to claim 100 dice rolls.
